Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our on line shop and add any items that you wish to purchase to your shopping basket.
When you have finished shopping, proceed to the checkout. Once you have entered your address and delivery details you can select the appropriate delivery option and proceed to the payment stage. We accept payment with most major credit and debit cards. We also accept payment for website orders through PayPal.
Card payments through our website are processed by Paypal, one of the leading payment providers in the UK. Your payment and card details are sent via an SSL encrypted link, ensuring your privacy and security is protected to industry standards. Your card details are not stored by our website at any point in the transaction and our staff have no access to your card details.
Shipping And Handling
We aim to despatch all orders on the same day if we receive the order before 3.30pm, subject to availability.
Large items, such as rods, reels or products of high value, will only be sent on one of our courier services.

All orders over £100 cannot be sent on a standard service due to the value of the parcel.
*1 Standard delivery is packages up to approximately 2kg in weight. This service is 2nd class Royal Mail, we use this service to keep the price as low as possible for our customers. Deliveries are generally 3-5 working days however, occasionally orders can take up to 14 working days.
*2 Large, Heavy or high valued items such as bedchairs, bivvy’s, echo sounders, engines, landing nets, reels, rods, rod holdalls, rucksacks, suits etc. cannot go via a standard delivery due to the restrictions placed on us by the Post Office. All large items are sent on a next day service where available; also note that there are no deliveries on weekends.
*3 This service is offered for smaller high valued parcels to areas where a courier service would work out too expensive, it is for items up to 2kg only and where the value exceeds £100. If you believe your item to be large or are not sure then please e-mail us for an accurate quote on fishxltd@outlook.com
*4 This service is for overseas deliveries only, where the weight of the item is under 2kg. If you believe your item to be large or are not sure then please e-mail us for an accurate quote on fishxltd@outlook.com
*5 Please note due to the charges incurred on us by our delivery companies the cost of shipments to Scotland has been broken down according to the cost to us.
Please note that no claim can be made if the goods are damaged if they were signed for as okay. If the box is damaged or you are in doubt please sign and state they are “unchecked”
All first time orders must go to the home address of the customer. Established customers can nominate an alternative delivery address, subject to agreement with the Friendly Fisherman. United Kingdom orders will be sent via Parcel force or our contracted courier company.
Delivery Schedule
We deliver your order right away. We will normally send your order to you in 2 business days . International orders are generally received in under 5 days.
Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait
Credit Card Security
All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 256 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site. The check out pages are stored on a secure https server.
